Nautica Flowers

Hi, my name is Nautica Flowers and I am an Afro-Indigenous spiritual wellness practitioner and community organizer. My specialty lies in blending my activism and social justice with my spiritual practice. I am happiest when I am helping others do the same!

My passion for astrology started at the young age of 12 years old and quickly moved from a fun hobby to a lifelong love. Around the same age, I lost my maternal great-grandmother which pushed me into some of my first experiences with ancestral veneration and grief work. At 16, my first job was at a book store where I had endless access to the words and works of astrologers and spiritual practitioners that came before me. It was during this time that I bought my first ever tarot deck and subsequently started my collection of astrology, divination, and tarot books.

As I got older, I carved out a space for myself within the online astrology community which allowed me to share my love for the stars with thousands of people. This online presence led to becoming an astrological consult for publications such as PopSugar and Bustle! Later on, these connections led me to join the Our Sacred Wisdom school based in LA as a reader, social media manager, and event coordinator.

While my time in the online spiritual realm was exciting and full of opportunities, I came to realize how disconnected my online presence in this space was from the work I was doing offline. In 2019, I felt a call to begin preparing for something big, which inevitably came the following year with a pandemic and national uprising that started in my city. Immediately, I had to learn how to leverage the online community I had gathered as a way to create tangible change in my real life. As I was pushed into the role of mutual aid fundraiser and became an organizer on multiple fronts - youth advocacy, sexual assault prevention, and racial education - something even bigger became apparent to me. We were finally acknowledging the physical, emotional, and mental consequences of US history, our current social uprising, and a worldwide pandemic...but we were still ignoring the spiritual consequences.

In the fall of 2020, I began to marry my activism with my spiritual gifts. Through collaboration with local nonprofits and grassroots organizers, I began to bring tarot and astrology into conversations about self-care and revolution. With every passing year, I stepped into my purpose of addressing collective trauma and individual burnout through community retreats, workshops, and events. Now, my goal is to equip both my online and local community with the spiritual tools needed to take their healing journey into their own hands. I aim to empower my clients and attendees to confidently connect with their ancestors, create authentic spiritual wellness routines, and draw connections between their individual wellness and their community's.
